●仰せのごとくにいたします. I'll do as you say [tell me (to do)].

・人の一生は重き荷を負うて遠き路を行くがごとし. Life [One's life] is like going on a long journey heavily laden.

・動かざること山のごとし. He's as steady as a rock (in a crisis).

・かの者に良案を求むるはあたかも木に縁(_よ)りて魚を求むるがごとし. Asking people of that kind to provide a good plan is to attempt the impossible [like getting blood from a stone]. | You can't get a good plan out of people like that for love or money.

・秋田のごときは積雪 3 メートル余に及ぶ. In places like Akita, the snow gets more than three meters deep.

・彼ごときに負けてたまるか. I'm not going to let myself be beaten by somebody like him [him of all people].

・彼は恐怖のあまりすでに死せるがごとくであった. He was already as good as dead with fear. | It was as though he had already died of fear.

・私のごとき者が口をはさむべきことではありません. I'm in no position to barge in.
